As Ranga entered the narrator's house and asked why he had sent for him, Ratna who had been present there and had been singing beautifully stopped midway and ran inside. Ranga asked if his arrival was the reason for her to stop singing and who she was. The narrator thought to himself of a story where a goat had taken shelter in a temple and a lion had asked who was the one hiding, to this, the goat had replied that he had already eaten nine lions and wanted to eat one more. Listening to this, the lion fled from the spot. The narrator replied to Ranga by saying that it should not matter who she was as the narrator was already married and Ranga had no plans to marry.
