Please explain these three phrases from the chapter"The Portrait of a Lady".

The phrases are-a veritable bedlam of chirrupings.,
frivolous rebukes,
the sagging skins of the dilapidated drum.

Dear Student,
Veritable Chirruping-It alludes to the clamour, turmoil and confusion brought about by the chirruping of the sparrows that spread and roosted around the writer's grandma. 
Frivolous rebukes – It alludes to the easygoing and happy reproaches of the grandma to the sparrows. The grandma is not very serious about her criticism/reprimands with the sparrows. 
The sagging skins of the dilapidated drum' - It refers to the worn-out and old condition of the drum used by the grandmother.
