please explain this line the optic nerves leave the eye and the retinal blood vessels enter it at a point medial to and slightly above the posterior pole of the eye ball.

Optic nerve is a nerve which goes from eye to brain. This nerve enters the eye from the posterior portion that is the last layer called retina. This nerve carries signals or nerve impulse from eye to brain where these signals are interpreted and image is formed in our mind. At this same point retinal blood vessels enter the eye which supply blood to the eye for nutrients and oxygen. And retinal blood vessel enters at a point which is slightly above the point where optic nerve leaves the eye.
