Q.5. The given graph shows the displacement versus time relation for a disturbance travelling with a velocity 1500 m s - 1 .


Calculate
(i) time period
(ii) frequency and
(iii) wavelength of disturbance

Dear student,

(a)  Time period is the time to complete 1 wave = 2μs=2×10-6sec
(b) Frequency= 1T=12μsf=0.5Mhz
(c) wavelength of the disturbance will be
 v=λTso λ=v×Tλ=1500m/s×2×10-6secλ=3×10-3m
