Please slove question 4 with process

Q4. The length of the seconds pendulum is decreased by 0.3 cm when it is shifted to chennai from London. If the acceleration due to gravity at London is 981 cm/sec2, the acceleration due to gravity at chennai is (assume  π 2=10):

  (A) 981 cm/sec2                                         (B) 978 cm/sec2

  (C) 984 cm/sec2                                         (D) 975 cm/sec2

Dear student,

The time period of a seconds pendulum = 2s

At London,

g = 981cm/s² = 9.81 m/s²

find the length.

T=2πlg2=2πl9.811π=l9.81l=9.81π2=9.8110=0.98m

At Chennai,
length is 0.3 cm less or 0.003m less
so l = 0.981-0.003=0.978m
g = ?

T=2πlg2=2π0.978g1π=0.978gg= 0.978×π2=0.978×10=9.78m/s2g=978cm/s2

So option b is correct.
