Leonard Euler (1707-1783) was a Swiss mathematician who was, perhaps, the most productive mathematician of all time. Thus, for any triangulation of the sphere with, say, T triangles, E edges and V vertices, Euler's formula for the sphere is that T-E+V = 2.
