Acidity - Antacid tablets contain magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH)2).
Bee sting - Baking soda (NaHCO3) is used to neutralise the acid in bee sting.
Acidic soil - Quick lime (CaO) is added to neutralise the excess acid. (CaO + H2O → Ca(OH)2 will neutralise the acid).
Acid rain - CaO or CaCO3 is used.
