Micro-organisms can only be seen through a powerfulmicroscope as they are very tiny living things. We can find micro-organisms all around us in food, water, air and in our bodies. Mould is a micro-organism found on decaying food. Viruses are micro-organisms which can cause the common cold. Bacteria found in all our mouths is a micro-organism. Bacteria can be very useful in making bread and beer in the form of yeast.
To avoid the spread of harmful micro-organisms we should wash our hands regularly when touching food or after using the toilet.
