Problem: A circular plate of uniform thickness has a diameter of 56 cm. A circular portion of diameter 42cm is removed from one edge of the plate. Find the position of the center of mass of the remaining portion.

Let O be the center of mass of original Circular and O' is the center of mass of removed circular part.

And 'x' be the distance between the center of mass of remaining shaded portion and original center of mass.

As the thickness is uniform the mass of whole original circle will be at O and similarly of removed circle at O'.

OO' =28-21=7cm
