Question-
A maths teacher tabulated the marks secured by 35 students of 8th class. The average of their marks was 72. If the marks obtained by Ashima was written as 36 instead of 86 then compute the correct average marks upto two decimals.

Dear student
We know that  average of marks  is given by =Sum of Marks obtained by the studentsTotal number of studentsA.T.Q72=Sum of Marks obtained by the students35Sum of Marks obtained by the students=72×35=2520So, correct average is given by:=Sum of Marks obtained by the students+Difference between 86 and 36Total number of students=2520+86-3635=2520+5035=257035=73.43
