Dear student,Activity- Pushing a nail into wooden plank.* we will try to push a nail having larger area in to the wooden plank and other with a point and sharp nail also.We will find that the second nail having sharp point will easily get inserted in to plank.This proves that the sharper nail produces large pressure.Hence pressure is inversely proportional to area,* now we again take two same iron nails and try to insert them into plank.But one with greater force and second with smaller force.We will see that the nail on which we are applying larger force will easily get inserted.This proves that pressure is directly proportional to forceHence,pressure= forceareaRegards
