Question:- 
When more than one forces act on an object, then to find their effects on the object, why do we some times add and why do we sometimes subtract those forces? ​

Dear Student ,
When those two forces act on the same direction then we add them but if they act on the opposite direction then we subtract them to find the net force acting on the object .
