Sea water is highly saline and cannot be used for the growth of plants or for drinking by animals .but ,rainwater can be used for the frowth of plants and for drinking by animals .Why ?
Dear Student,
Sea water contains a high concentration of 35000 ppm(parts per million) of salt particles whereas rain water contains only traces of salt(around 500-2000 ppm).
A high salt concentration can lead to a disruption of the osmotic balance, which can affect the functioning of the plants and animals. Also , a high concentration of sodium can hamper the functioning of plant and animals.
Thus, sea water cannot be used for plant growth or drinking purposes but rainwater can.
