(Very Short Answer Questions)

1. Why was a militant guerilla movement spread in Gudem hills of Andhra Pradesh in the early 1920s?

SOLUTION:

In Gudem hills of  Andhra Pradesh the Guerilla movement spread in very quickly in the early 1920s. The movement was basically protest against forest laws that government compelled on the people of Gudem hills.
Like in other forest regions here the colonial government has closed the forest areas, preventing people for entering forests to graze their cattle to hunt or to collect firewood or fruits. This angered and agitated the people of the hills. This was because they were not only deprived of their livelihood and food but also their traditional rights were also denied when the government compelled them to work for free and did not give any money for road-building.
