seprate sulphur from a solution of sulphur in carbon disulphide

Sulphur is soluble in carbon disulphide solvent (CS₂) while Carbon is insoluble in CS₂.    Experiment:

• Add the mixture of carbon and sulphur to CS₂. The sulphur will get dissolved in the solvent. 
• Filter to remove the carbon. Dry the filter paper and recover the carbon. 
• Collect the filtrate containing the sulphur. Evaporate the CS₂ away and recover the dry sulphur. 

Precaution: CS₂ is an inflammable and explosive compound. Evaporation should be done in a well ventilated fume cabinet (with vapour recovery) over a waterbath. Do not expose it to fire or even an oven.
