Sheep shearing is always done after the winter. Why?

Sheep shearing ia always done after winter because in summer season the day is hot so the sheep can surive without there fur and before winter come there fur comes again. And if there fur is taken out in winter they will die.For that the sheep don't die the sheep keepers take out there fur in winter. And again share its fur in summer season.

Hair are removed during hot because this enables sheep to survive without their protective coat of hair.

  • -2

Hi. The sheep shearing is always done after the winters beacause the hair keeps the sheep warm as they trap the air between them. If the hair are removed in the winters, then they will die beacause they will feel very cold. In the summers, if the hair are not removed, then they will again die due to heat. That's why the shearing of the sheep is done only in summers and not in winters.

Hope my answer helps :) . Cheers!!!

Hi,

because wool is bad conductor of heat ,so in winter it traps the heat and don't allow to pass outside and keeps them warm.

In summer they feels hot uncomfortable ,so at that time people shear the fleece.

pls give me thumbs up.

wool is extracted from animals usually in summer in hilly areas so that they can survive without the wool or else if they do it in winters the animal will die due to cold

Sheep shearing always feels like the start of a new year. Maybe because it happens in spring. Maybe because it is the one time we get to have a good look at our flock and see where we're excelling and where we're falling short. Maybe because we know lambing is coming up next.

Shearing is a bit of an anxious time. A sheep without her fleece is pretty naked looking, and her nakedness exposes a lot. On shearing day any flaws in the ranch feed and health program are glaringly obvious.

Sheep shearing is done after the winters which means in summers to provide comfort to the sheep. Because if we will shear the fur of sheep in winters so she will not be able to survive without hair for such long winters. The advantage of sheering the sheep in summers is that sheep can easily survive without fleece and the fur will grow till the winters.

Sheep shearing is done after the winters i.e in spring and summers because at that time organisms don't need fleece to keep themselves warm and it is not done in winters as due to extreme cold conditions organisms can die.

SHEEP SHEARING IS ALWAYS DONE IN WINTER BECAUSE THE WOOL IS USED TO KEEP THE SHEEP'S BODY WARM. THE WOOL IS USED TO COVER THE BODY.

Sheep shearing is always done after the winter because the wool acts like a blanket in the sheep's body. If it is removed from the body in winter the sheep will catch a cold. If it is sheared in summer then the sheep will feel comfortable and also they will not catch a cold.

sheep shearing is always done after the winter . Nice question
That's why sheeps need there hairs in winter to protect their body from extreme cold because they cannot wear sweaters and jackets like humans so they are only protected by their thick and white hairs.

Back to the question sheep shearing is always done in winter and why ?

So, the answer is sheeps didn't meet their hairs in summers and if we didn't cut them there's will automatically after sometimes in summers fall down because I didn't need it and they cannot recycle their hairs for long and long time .

Silk is an animal fibre, which is obtained from silkworms that live on mulberry trees. The rearing of silkworms to obtain silk is known as sericulture. During a stage of its life cycle, the silkworm weaves a net around itself. Silk is then obtained from this net. To get an insight of this process, we will first study the life cycle of a silkworm.

The life of a silkworm starts when a female moth lays eggs on the mulberry leaves. After sometime, these eggs hatch into larvae. These larvae are known as caterpillars or silkworms. Slowly these caterpillars grow in size by feeding only on the leaves of mulberry trees.

The next stage in the life cycle of a silkworm is a pupa. When the caterpillar has grown large enough and is ready to go to the stage of pupa, it starts weaving a net around itself to hold itself. Then, it moves its head from one side to another, making a figure eight (8). During these movements, caterpillars secrete a fibre made of protein, which solidifies and hardens when exposed to air for some time. This is the silk fibre. Caterpillars continue to spin silk fibre till they completely get covered by these fibres. This silk covering in which a silkworm covers itself is known as a cocoon. Further development of the silkworm takes place inside the cocoon, and it enters the pupa stage. After sometime, the pupa enters into the adult stage and emerges out of the cocoon as a moth. The whole process thus continues and is known as the life cycle of a silkworm.
