National assembly of third estate- Each estate was considered to be a single group with single vote. The members of the third estate outnumbered the first two estates, so they demanded individual member votes. Following a lot of commotion and arguments, the members of the third estate declared themselves as the 'National Assembly of France'. They assembled in a tennis court and swore not to leave until they had framed a constitution of France. This event is known as the 'Tennis Court Oath'.
