2nd equation is not clear
  • 4
ur answer

  • -1
2x - y = -10 ----(1)
-6x + 3y = 30 ----(2)
if i take equation No. (2) to the other side i will get
6x - 3y = -30 -----(3)

From (1)
2x - y = -10
2x = -10 + y
x = -10 + y  -----(4)
           2
substitute equation (4) in (3)
6x - 3y= -30
6 ( -10 + y ) - 3y = -30
          2
-60 +6y  - 3y = -30
     2
-60 +6y - 6y  = -30
        2
-60 +0 = -60
0= 0
such situations have infinetly many solutions, so there wont be a specific value for x and y, it will vary....
thumbs up !!!

shivani you took the value of y from the second equation, so it should be 30 +6x
