6.  The table below is designed to indicate the transport of certain substances in our body. Fill in the blanks with suitable answers. 

Dear student,
1) Oxygen is transferred from lungs to the whole body through blood. 
2) Carbon dioxide is transferred from the whole body to the lungs through deoxygenated blood. 
3) Urea is released from the liver cells to the bloodstream and transported to the kidneys. 
4) Carbohydrates are broken down into their simplest forms and are absorbed in the small intestine through villi, then they are transferred to the bloodstream and carried to muscles and the liver.
5) Hormones are carried by the blood throughout the entire body, yet they affect only certain organ cells. The specific cells that respond to a given hormone have receptor sites for that hormone. This is sort of a lock-and-key mechanism.
