Hi, nX= 500nY= 300 nX∩Y= 150 Now we know that nX∪Y=nX+ nY-nX∩Y=500+300-150 = 650and this is families reading any newspaperand total there are 1250 so families reading no newspaper= 1250 - 650 = 600
