state three activities due to which magnets loose their magnetism

Dear student,

Kindly refer to the solution provided below to the asked query:
1.A magnet can loose its magnetism if it is heated above a point which is known as the Curie temperature.A magnet if heated will loose its magnetic domain permanently.
2.It can also its magnetism via a demagnetising feild. Permanent magnets possess a property called coercivity, which is the ability of a material to withstand being demagnetized by an applied magnetic field.Example- Sm-Co and Nd-Fe-B ,etc.
3.By providing shock to materials like alnico and steel ,which have high coercivity and can be easily demagnetised,if enough energy is transmitted through the material via a shock, such as being dropped or hit with a hammer then a material can loose its magnetism.
