the aera of apallelogram and sqare are the same .if the perimeter of sqare is 160m and the height of the parallelogram is 20m,find the length of the corresponding base of the parallelogram.

Answer :

Given Area of parallelogram =  Area of square

And perimeter of square  =  160 m  ,

Let side of square  =  x 

And we know perimeter of square  =  4 ( Side )  , So

4x  =  160

x  =  40 m

And

Area of square  = ( Side )²   , So

Area of given square  =  ( 40 )² =  1600 m² 

Area of parallelogram  =  1600  m²

We know Area of parallelogram  =  Base $\times$ Height 

So,

Corresponding base $\times$ 20  =  1600

Corresponding base  =  80 m                                        ( Ans )
