Dear student,

Please find below the solution to the asked query:

First of all get a brief idea about Direct and Inverse Proportions: Direct  Proportions:Two values x and y are directly proportional to each other when the ratio x:y or xy is a constant that is it always remains the same.This further means that x and y will either increase together or decrease together by an amount that would not change the ratio.For example: Earning is directly proportional to working hours.If you work for 2 hours, you get Rs 200If you work for 3 hours, you get Rs 300Indirect Proportions:Two values x and y are indirectly proportional to each other when the product xy is a constant that is it always remains the same.This further means that when x  increases, then y decreases and when x decreases, the value of y increases. The change in the amount of second variable is such that the product xy remains the same.For example: As speed goes up, the travel time goes down and as speed goes down, travel

Here with the increase in the number of men, the procision for number of days decrease.This means that the given case is indirect proportion.Let p be the number of men for which the procision last for 30 days.Then we get   p×30 =12×15   p=12×15302   p=1262   p=6So the required number of mens are 6
