The difference between a two digit number and the number obtained by interchanging its digits is 63 . What is the difference between the digits of the number ?
Let the digit in the units place of the number be x
and the number in the tens place be y.
Then the number = 10*y +x = 10y + x
On reversing the digits,
the number obtained = 10x + y
BTP,
(10y + x) - (10x + y) = 63
=> 10y + x - 10x - y = 63
=> x - y = 63
Therefore,
the difference between the two digits = x- y = 63
