The fruits fall off the branches when a strong wind blows. Give reason.

When a strong wind blows , the branches of the trees shake due to which the fruits fall down. This is because, the fruits were in the state of rest, but when an unbalanced external force was applied ( the strong winds) the branches were in motion and the fruits were in motion too. But due to it's inertia of rest, the fruits wanted to continue to be in the state of rest and thus they fall down so that they are in rest and not in motion.
