 The radius  and height of a cylinder are in the ratio 5:7 and its volume is 550 cu cm . Find its radius?

 Volume of cylinder = 22/7 * r * r * h

r = 5x

h = 7x

= 22/ 7 * 5x * 5x * 7x = 550

22 * 25x * x * x = 550

25x3 = 550 / 22

25x3 = 25

x3 = 25 / 25

x3 = 1

x = 1 cm

Radius = 5x = 5 * 1 = 5 cm

ANS:   Volume of cylinder= 550cm3 =  π r2h

let the radius be 5x then, the height of the cylinder is 7x 

therfore, π(5x)27x = 22*25x2*7x/7

=>22*25x3 = 550 

=>x3 = 550/550

=>x = 1

Therefore, its radius = 5x = 5*1 = 5 cm
