the ratio of two sides of a parallelogram are as 3:5 and its perimeter is 60cm.find the measures of all the sides

Let ABCD is a parallelogram.

Let AB = 5x cm  and  BC = 3x cm

now, CD = AB = 5x cm and AD = BC = 3x cm  [Opposite sides of ||gm are equal]

Perimeter of ABCD = AB + BC + CD + DA

60  = 5x + 3x + 5x + 3x = 16

⇒ x = 60 / 16 = 15 / 4 = 3.75

so, AB = CD = 5 × 3.75 = 18.75 cm

AD = BC = 3 × 3.75 = 11.25 cm

perimeter =60

let one side be=3x

let other side be=5x

perimeter of a parallelogram=2[3x +5x]

=16x

16x=60

x=60/16

x=15/4

ANS=11.25,11.25,18.75,18.75

Perimeter of a parallelogram is 60cm.

Sides are 3x, 5x

Therefore, 3x + 5x + 3x + 5x = 60

16x = 60

x = 60/16

x = 3.75

Now, the sides will be 3x = 3 * 3.75 = 11.25

5x = 5 *3.75 = 18.75

therefore all sides of the parallelogram is 11.25 cm and 18.75 cm each
