The science department of the school recently concluded 'Science Week,' a week-long event for the students of grades 5-12 featuring a number of competitions, events and an exhibition to promote the study of science and its career possibilities. The chief guest on the first day was Professor Narayana Murthy of Infosys who commended the students on coming up with such an endeavour and commented that more such events were necessary in every school. Each class contributed a display with hands-on activities demonstrating various scientific investigations. Exhibits covered topics such as mixing colour, human touch, melting, optics with lenses, pneumatics, sound insulation, seed germination, chemical reactions and acids and pH scale testing.
The event was successfully concluded with a Lava Top experiment programme where the parents were asked to participate along with their wards.
