The transformation of ovary into fruit and ovule into seed is a simultaneous process which means both the events occur at the same time. Ovary wall develops into fruit wall namely pericarp. In some plants ovary as well as thalamus contribute to the fruit formation whereas in some only ovary and these fruits are called true fruits.
