There are 4 circular windows in Nisha's house, each of radius 28cm are to be fitted with glass. Calculate the cost of glass at the rate of Rs. 4.25per sq. m.

Given, radius of window = 28 cm

So, area of each circular window

∴ area of 4 circular windows

Now, cost of fitting the glass per m2 = Rs 4.25

∴ cost of glass which is required to cover 0.9856 m2 of area = 0.9856 × Rs 4.25 = Rs 4.18

 R = 28cm

PIE = 22/7

AREA OF 1 WINDOW = PIE R2

  =  22/7 *28 *28

  =  22*4*28

  = 2464 cm2

AREA OF 4 WINDOWS = 4(AREA OF 1 WINDOW)

  =  4(2464)

  = 9856 cm2

AREA OF WINDOWS IN M2 = AREA OF WINDOWS IN CM2/100

  =9856/100

  =  9.856 M2

COST OF GLASS PER SQUARE METRE =  RS 4.25

COST OF GLASS GOR 9.856 SQUARE METRE = 4.25 * 9.856

  =  Rs 41.89
