find the missing number

11,15,24,?,65,101

Dear Student!

The given numbers are 11, 15, 24, ?, 65, and 101.

Now, 15 – 11 = 4 = 22

25 – 15 = 9 = 32

101 – 65 = 36 = 62

Here, the difference of the term and its following term is the square of the natural numbers.

So, ? – 24 = 42

⇒ ? – 24 = 16

⇒ ?  = 16 + 24 = 40

Thus, the missing number is 40.

Cheers!
