Unloading of mineral ions takes place from the fine vein endings through the process of diffusion. The fine vein ending is the location for the mineral elements to get unloaded or to exit. As the mineral ions reaches the vein ending, the process of diffusion takes place and the uptake of minerals occur by the chief sinks like apical and lateral meristems, young leaves, developing flowers etc.
