Water flows out through a circular pipe whose internal diameter is 2 cm, at the rate of 6 metre per second into a cylindrical tank , the radius of whose base is 60 cm. Find the rise in the level of water in30 minutes?

 ANS: Vol of water delivered in 30minute (π r2 l) π* 1*1 *600*60*30 cm3 { since radius of pipe = 1cm, 6m = 600 cm, 30m = 30 *60 = 1800 sec}

Area of cylindrical tankπ*60*60 cm2

Therefore,  the rise in the level will be = Vol.of water delivered in 30minute / Area of cylindrical tank

= (π* 1*1 *600*60*30 cm3)/ π*60*60 cm2

= 300cm = 3metres

Thus, the rise in level of water in the cylindrical tank = 3metres
