“We are still a long way from realising the ideal of self-government”. Justify the statement.

Self-government is a method in which the inhabitants of a nation rule themselves and manage their own activities. Self-governments are independent of outside authority control or outside political influence. A democratic form of management must be provided by a method of healthy local self-government organizations.

However, we still do not realize the core ideas of self-government because residents of India are actually aware of their rights and practices. Still, in today's global world we get easily dominated by the influence of political parties and biasness on the basis of caste, creed, and sex. So for realizing the true principle of democracy and self-government we must free yourself from the clutches social and political barriers and embrace the reality of democracy of thoughts and opinions which is given by our constitution.
