What are acidic oxides ?
Give examples .

Dear Student,
Acidic oxides are oxides that either produce an acidic solution on addition of water, or acts as an acceptor of hydroxide ions behaving as Lewis acids. Acidic oxides usually have low pKa and may be organic or inorganic.
For example,
Carbon dioxide produces an acidic solution (generation of carbonic acid) when dissolved in water.
CO2 + 2OH ⇌ HCO3 + OH ⇌ CO32− + H2O

Phosphorus (III) oxide reacts to form phosphorus acid in water:
P4O6 + 6 H2O → 4 H3PO3
