What are electromagnets??

PLS ANSWER MY QUWSTION FAST BECAUSE.......... MY FINAL EXAM F SCIENCE TOMORROW!!!

Electromagnet is a magnet consisting of soft iron core with a coil of insulated wire wound round it. When a current flows through the wire, the core becomes magnetized; when the current ceases to flow the core loses its magnetization.

So, electromagnet acts as a magnet when electricity is passed through the coil of the electromagnet.

We tie a wire around a bar magnet and put its other edge into a plug and switch on the plug. Then, we can take a non-magnetic material and tie a wire around it also and put its other edge into a plug and switch on the plug like we did with the bar magnet. Now, if we put the magnet and non-magnetic material side by side, the magnet will attract the non-magnetic material with the wire still tied on it. If we remove the wire, these two objects will not attract each other.

 A Magnetic force is when a magnetised piece or either iron, steel, nickel or cobalt comes close to eithr an other magnet  or a damegnetised piece of iron, steel, nickel or cobalt. tis is measured in newtons
