what are mansabdars and jahingardars and zamindar in a simple language
Dear Student,
a. Mansabdar constituted the ruling class of the Mughal period which consolidated the Mughal nobility and the military personnel into a composite class
b. Their rank Rank and salary were determined by a numerical value called zat. And was given a jagir as part of their salary corresponding to the rank.
c. These mansabdars were also known as jagirdars as they received jagirs as part of their revenue assignment.
Zamindars constituted wealthy landowners , who owned land and made farmers work under them. They also used to lease land to the farmers.
