Red blood cells- Red blood cells, or erythrocytes, help in transport of oxygen from the lungs to the body’s tissue and take carbon dioxide back to the lungs to be exhaled.

White blood cells- White blood cells helps in fighting infection and maintains body's defence system. 

RBC WBC
They contain haemoglobin. They are devoid of haemoglobin.
RBCs do not contain a nucleus. WBCs contain a nucleus.
RBCs transport oxygen from the lungs to various parts of the body. WBCs protect the body from infections.
