What are the economic outcomes of democracy?

1)  Rather than economic growth and development, democracies can reduce economic disparities. This is because when a country achieves economic growth wealth is equally distributed among all citizens for paving better life.

2)  Eradication of poverty by Government through programmes and policies are possible only in democracy and not in other forms of non – democratic government

3)  Though the economic growth and development is slow in democracy, it cannot be considered as the worst form of government as it has its own positive factors

Economic growth and development: It is expected from democracy to bring economic development because, it works on the principle of equality.

Democracy and dictatorship are observed to have a very negligable difference in developing countries in terms of economic growth. It has also been observed that dictatorship is slightly more higher up in terms of economic growth and though democracy doesnt always lead to economic growth , atleast it doesnt lag behind dictatorship in terms of growth rate economically.
