What do you mean by components?

Dear student,
Components of a particular material or of something describes the parts that make that material or substance.It describes about the types of the parts that help in forming a unit system like ecosystem or a large organic compound.For example a ecosystem has two components:
1)Biotic component or living components
2)Abiotic component.
Another example is that Hydrogen forms the major component of many organic compound.
