In Lok Sabha, there are 543 elected members plus 2 members of Anglo Indian community. The Anglo Indian members are nominated by the President. These members are nominated to give representation to the people of Anglo Indian community. 

There are very few people of Anglo Indian community in India. Thus it is important that they are represented and their interests are safeguarded. Nomination of these members allows the Anglo Indian community to voice their concerns in Lok Sabha.
