what is ambulacral system ?

Ambulacral system is unique water vascular locomotion system found in Echinoderms like starfish, sea urchin, sea cucumber etc. which allows the animals to move and capture food. The radial areas underneath the body of starfish are called ambulacrum.

 It is actually vascular system(the system which helps in locomotion and caputer& transport of food) of the echinodermata.Ambulacral is the name given to the groove through which it flows.
