Takli is an iron stick which is used to spin short fibers, cotton, cashmere, and silk.etc. It is the simplest device for spinning. It is also called hand spindle.

Charkha and takli are instruments used for spinning.Takli is a iron stick and is also called as Hand spindle.

Charkha is a wheel used by Mahatma gandhi it is made of wood and is made popular by Mahatma gandhi for spinning.
