what is concave mirror ?

Sometimes referred to as a converging mirror, the concave mirror is made with a surface that bends inward. Because the center of the curve is directed away from any incident light, it creates a reflection that is typically larger than the actual focal point.........

concave mirror can be very helpful around the house as well. Men may use one while shaving, since the device will provide a magnified image of the beard line. Women often use one while applying makeup for its magnifying properties as well, since the larger image can make detailed makeup much easier to apply.
i hope u help dis answer...:)

A concave mirror, or converging mirror, is a curved mirror that bulges inward away from the incident light. Concave mirrors reflect light inward to one focal point, therefore they are used to focus light. Concave mirrors show different image types depending on the distance between the object and the mirror. These mirrors are called “converging” because they tend to collect light that falls on them, refocusing parallel incoming rays toward a focus. This is because the light is reflected at different angles, since the normal to the surface differs with each spot on the mirror.

You should first know that there are 3 types of mirrors. They are concave mirrors, convex mirrors and plane mirrors.

Plane mirrors are plane, convex mirrors are bulged outwards at the middle and concave mirrors are bulged inward at

the middle or are hollw towards the middle. They focus light  inwards in the middle point.

The mirror which can form a real image is called concave mirror. It is polished on the outer side such that the inner surface is the reflecting surface. The focus and centre of curvature can actually be located. It mostly forms real images except for when the object is placed betwen focus and pole. They are also known as converging mirrors.

Cheers!!!

Light does not bend. A most significant property of light is that it travels in a straight line from its source to whatever surface it touches. The rays of light may be long or short; regardless, rays of light are always straight. A concave mirror is composed of a reflective surface with its sides curved closer in distance to your eye than its middle surface. Let's look at what happens to rays of light, traveling at approximately 186,000 miles per second (the speed of light), when they strike a concave mirror's surface.
