What is depression in cyclone

The tropical or cyclonic depressions determine the amount and duration of monsoon rains. These depressions are areas of low pressure in equatorial latitudes. This is where the north east and the south east trade winds converge. Tropical depressions follow the axis of the “monsoon trough of low pressure” north or south due to the movement of the sun.
