What is endogenous (stellar) and pericycle? See the underlined line in image

Dear Student

Endogenous means lateral roots are derived from within an organism, tissue or cell. Endogenous lateral branches arises from deep within the cortex of a mature shoot and emerges through the cortex.
Exogenous means root hairs are derived externally from an organism, tissue, or cell.

A pericycle is a cylindrical shaped region of primary tissue of root or stem that consists of parenchyma or sclerenchyma cells. It lies just inside the endodermis and forms outermost part of the stele of plants.
