What is hibernation and aestivation?

Can someone explain it more clearer.

Hibernation is animal sleep to escape cold weather during winter.  During this period animal’s body temperature drops, heartbeat, breathing and metabolic rate slows down to conserve energy. Example- Snake.

Aestivation (summer sleep) is animal sleep in hot and dry season i.e. summer. It is also characterized by lower metabolic rate and reduced activity. Example- Snails

1.HIBERNATION ;-For most animals finding enough food in winter could be difficult when the main source of food like insects and green plants are in short supply.                                                                                                                                        Some animals solve this problem by hibernating. hibernation is a deep sleep that helps them to save energy and survive in winter without eating much.                                                                                                                                                  During hibernation the animal's body temperature drops, and its heartbeat and breathing slows down so that it            does not use much energy.                                                                                                                                                                  Hibernating animals get ready for their winter sleep by  eating extra food and storing it as body fat which they                then use as energy while sleeping.                                                                                                                                          2.AESTIVATION;-is a period of deep and  prolonged sleep that occurs in the  summer or dry season in response to  eat and drought. food can often be scarce at such times, so animals avoid using up energy reserves by lowering their metabolic rate. this reduses the need for food and water during hard times ensuring long-time survival.
