  1. Hunger-Hunger is another aspect indicating food insecurity.Hunger is not just an expression of poverty it brings about poverty.
  2. Poverty has chronic & seasonal dimentions
    Chronic hunger- Chronic hunger is a consequence of diets persistently inadequate in terms of it's quantity/quality.Poor people suffer from chronic suffer because of their very low wages & in turn inability to buy food even for their survival.
    Seasonal Hunger seasonal hunger is related to cycles of food growing & harvesting.It is more prevelant in rural areas because of the seasonal nature of the agricultural activities & in urban ares because of the casual labour.This type of hunger existswhen a person is unable to get work for the entire year.
