MLA - Member of legislative assembly.

An MLA is a person who represents an area or a ward in a legislative assmbly. HE/SHE can argue or debate on the topic. They put their points forward regarding the problems associated with their area. They can even give suggestion. And ina legislative assembly, all the MLAs of both the ruling and non-ruling parties are present. The final decision is taken by the governer of the state. It is very similar to a case being fought in the court.
