what is open form of growth?what type of growth rate does it show

Dear Student, 

Open form of growth is that which continuous all through life of the organism.
Example, Plants have open type of growth. It is because they have undifferentiated meristems.

The growth rate can be any, Arithmetic or Geometric.
In Arithmetic Growth, only one daughter cell continues to divide while other differentiates and matures. 
in Geometric Growth, all daughter cells continues to divide
